Voices of Bray Community Choir is, as the name suggests, a community choir based in Bray, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. That means that we’re a non-audition – SATB (Soprano Alto Tenor Bass) choir and have approximately 135 members from Bray and surrounding areas stretching from South County Dublin down to Wicklow Town. We welcome all genders, and none.
The primary objective of the Choir is the making of choral music for the enjoyment of our members and the community and surrounding areas. The Choir operates in a way which promotes a community spirit among members of the Choir. We promote the well-being of our members through the enjoyment of singing.
Focusing on a repertoire of popular music, we sing music encompassing hit songs from the 60’s up to the present day, as well as many favourites from the big band era and from musical theatre.
Concert performances typically take place twice a year. These are at the start of the Summer(June) and for Christmas (December). Apart from entertaining our audiences, all our performances help to raise money for charity . To date we have raised over €50,000 for local causes.
Apart from our own public concerts, the Choir participates occasionally in festivals and competitions as well as other charitable / civic engagements.
